At Makz Gear, we want to make shipping as simple and reliable as possible. By placing an order on our website, you agree to the terms below. This policy is in addition to your rights under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (CGA).

Shipping Rates

The cost of shipping is calculated at checkout.  We offer free shipping for orders over a certain value. We charge fees for some deliveries

• Rural Delivery: Calculated at checkout (usually $12.99 for rural addresses).
• Aerosol & Dangerous Goods Fee: $9.99 added to shipping (applies to sprays, lubricants, batteries, and other DG items).
• Bulky Item Fee (South Island only): $15 added to shipping (applies to oversized or heavy items such as tyres and stands).
• Motorcycles & Oversized Products: Shipping must be arranged directly with Makz Gear before purchase.

Delivery & Risk

Most in-stock items ship within 1–2 business days. In some cases, we may ship directly from our suppliers’ warehouses to speed up delivery. Orders may be split into multiple shipments or consolidated depending on stock location.

Risk of loss or damage passes to you once the goods are delivered to the address provided at checkout.

Makz Gear ensures all items are securely packaged, but we are not liable for loss or damage in transit. If your order arrives damaged in transit, please take clear photos of the packaging and item (before and after opening) and contact us immediately so we can resolve it with the courier.

Timeframes

Delivery times vary by location and rural addresses may take longer. Target delivery estimates are provided by our courier partners, but they are not guaranteed.

Tracking & Confirmation

Once your order is dispatched, you’ll receive a shipping confirmation email with courier tracking details. You can track your order directly through the courier’s website using the tracking number provided.

Dangerous Goods Disclaimer

Some items, such as aerosols, oils, lubricants, and batteries, are classified as Dangerous Goods (DG). These products may:

• Incur an additional DG handling fee ($9.99).
• Take longer to deliver due to carrier restrictions.
• Be excluded from certain delivery services (for example, overnight or urgent shipping).

We’ll always do our best to ensure DG orders are shipped quickly and safely.
